Stephanie Gerard is originally from Portland, Oregon but she also spent some time growing up in West Tennessee. She completed her undergraduate studies at Saint Louis University where she majored in psychology. During that time she decided to follow in the footsteps of her family members and attend optometry school. After graduating Cum Laude she traveled to Phoenix, Arizona and attended the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University.
During her tenure in Optometry School she was very active in volunteering for the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program and providing vision screenings for its participants.
Her external rotations brought her to Temple, Texas where she worked for the Veterans Affairs Hospital. She also trained in two specialty contact lens practices and worked for LASIK/Cataract Surgeon in Phoenix. Shortly after graduation she got married and moved to Texas.
Her passion includes contact lens, keratoconus, and dry eye management. She has continued the tradition of volunteering but as a doctor for the annual Special Olympics Vision Screenings.
Dr. Gerard is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and currently practices as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking and playing on her indoor soccer team.
She lives with her husband, and two dogs in Addison.
