Phyllis
Phyllis is originally from Lake Village, Arkansas and has been in the Dallas area since 1998. She is our Optical Manager and is both ABO Certified and NCLE Certified. She has over 30 years of optical experience.
She loves helping people pick out the perfect pair of glasses that will suit their needs and lifestyle. Phyllis invites you to come in and see our great selection of all the latest styles in designer eyewear.
Phyllis and her husband Arden attend Irving Bible church. She is a Mary Kay Consultant in her spare time and also loves the water, reading, dancing and most of all being with her children and grandchildren..
Hugo
A Dilettante? Nay! Versatility is a trademark of this Board Certified Optician; Edging,
adjusting, repairing and selling quality eyewear is all in a days work for Hugo.
Hugo has a Bachelors in Radio, TV & Film and 20 years experience as an optician.
When not serving as Ben Stiller's Stunt Double, hugo enjoys being with his family and
doing cartoon voiceover work.
Tasha
Tasha,
Certified Paraoptometric, takes care of medical
histories and present issues, photo imaging of the back of the
eyes, dispensing
contact lens, and scheduling your visits.
Tasha started with Las Colinas Vision Center in 1998 as a receptionist
and is now a certified paraoptometric. Tasha continues to attend
many
continuing professional
education courses.
Marilyn
Marilyn is a Registered Certified Paraoptometric Technician. Marilyn has been with us since 1985. She has been a certified Para Optometric Assistant since 1993 and became a Certified Paraoptometric Technician , (the highest level of certification) in 2005. She has maintained her certifications by completing more than 450 hours of continuing education.
She currently serves as our LASIK coordinator and submits your insurance claims. She also helps us out at the front desk and in our contact lens dispensary.
Marilyn is an avid reading. She enjoys playing with her Sheltie and enjoys traveling with her daughter Kristi. She has a son, Karl who coaches high school football. You can always find her in the stands with her daughter in law Laurel, as they cheer Karl’s team.
Amy
Amy is a Contact Lens Technician who assists
with patient walk-ins, scheduling appointments, ordering and
maintaining diagnostic
and salable contacts, processing Web site orders, and teaching
you how to wear and care for your lenses.
Amy joined Las Colinas Vision in 1997, and stays educated with
continuing education programs. She received a certification from the National Contact Lens Examiners in 2004.
Amy has three cats: Otis, Trixie and Buster. She loves to travel,
and watch movies and reality television. Amy also enjoys spending
time with her family, which includes four brothers.
Linda
Our Business Administrator Linda is responsible for handling all accounting and Human Resource data for Las Colinas Vision Center.
Linda has worked in the optical and medical (orthopedic) fields in the Houston & Dallas areas for 25 years. She started working at LCVC in April of 1992, and has worked in various areas of the practice, such as the front desk, contact lens dispensing, patient assisting, and ultimately managed the practice until 1996 when her first son was born. Linda took a year off work to be the ultimate "stay-at-home" mom. She rejoined the team at LCVC in December of 1997 to assist in the financial aspect of the business.
Linda is married and has two sons, Matthew and Jonathan. She enjoys spending time with her large extended family and loves reading, cooking, scrapbooking and gardening.
Kristen
Kristen, Certified Paraoptometric and our office manager, started with LCVC in 1989 after moving to the Dallas area from East Texas. In 1989 she was one of three employees and is now one of twenty! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, their dog Annie, and family and friends. Her hobbies and interest include traveling, photography and golf.
Erin, Certified ParaOptometric Assistant
Contact Lens Technician
Erin joined our practice in June of 2007 and has been in the optometic field since 2005. Erin assists our patients in the contact lens department, maintains our contact lens inventory and places orders for our patients. Erin, is a Certified ParaOptometic Assistant and also assists the doctors by performing diagnostic test on our patients, and takes optical and medical history on our patients.
Erin is originally from Iowa City, Iowa, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Her hobbies include watching college football and basketball. (especially the Iowa Hawkeyes). She enjoys going to professional sporting events and concerts. She has an outgoing personality and enjoys meeting new people, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She has been a great addition to our team.
Daniela, Certified ParaOptometric
Daniela was born and raised in Dallas and attended Texas Lutheran University in Sequin, Texas where she studied child psychology. Daniela enjoys shopping, playing miniature golf and bowling. When she's not spending time with her family, she and her boyfriend, Jay are out on the town watching the latest movies or they're relaxing and watching any and every sporting event.
Daniela is interested in interior design and is addicted to Su Doku. She's very interested in traveling and hopes to one day see the world!
Kathy,
Kathy is originally from the San Francisco Bay has lived in California, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois and Texas. Lucky for us she has settled back in Texas and works part time keeping our front desk and appointment scheduler in order. We consider her to be our "relief pitcher". She and Jim raised four beautiful daughters and has one "spirited" grandchild. Currently she and Jim have settled down in Grapevine with their Schnoodle, Rambo.
Kathy enjoys travel, sports, concerts, movies and entertaining family and friends.
Ellen, Certified Optician
Ellen was born in Chicago, Illinois traveled a lot growing up because her dad was in the military. She joined us in 2008 after living in Southern California for 30 years. Ellen has been in the optometric field since 1999 and has experience not only as an optician, but also pre-testing patients, edging lenses and dispensing eyeglasses.
As a Board Certified Optician Ellen has the opportunity to live out a passion: giving back and helping others. Helping patients choose a suitable frame for their needs is sometimes a challenge but always a pleasure to see the completed job. Ellen has spent years working in the private and public sector, and says "I have found my niche as an optician".
Ellen has two beautiful grown daughters living in their home state of California. As a newcomer to Dallas she enjoys discovering the gardens, arts and antiques. Ellen resides in Irving with two furry friends, Winnie (Border Collie/Chow Mix) and O/Malley (newly adopted kitty, which thinks she is a dog).

Allison, Certified Para Optometric
Allison is an Optometric Assistant. She is currently attending Brookhaven College and studying Science. Her passion is in Radiology and hopes to pursue a career in the field.
She enjoys reading, painting, running and staying active. She has a cat named Leo.
Sydney
Sydney is an Optometric Assistant at Las Colinas Vision Center. She is a senior in high school and will be graduating in December.
She enjoys watching her nephew, watching tv, spending time with her family and friends.
Ashley, Optician
Ashley is originally from Irving, Texas and joined our practice in December, 2010. She has been in the optical field since 2006. As an optician, she loves helping pick out fun frames that fit her patient's personality. She is also building her own eye wear wardrobe for herself.
Ashley claims to be a music junkie. She loves to attend concerts and has started her own collection of vinyl records. She loves watching all types of sports and finds herself to be a better spectator than competitor.
She is a huge Aggie fan, enjoys being on the water, reading and spending time with her family and friends, especially her younger nephew and niece.
Mallory, Optometric Assistant
Mallory is originally from the Dallas area, has been in the optical field since 2008 and joined our practice in November, 2010. As an optometric assistant she helps with the diagnostic testings and contact lenses. She
enjoys spending time with her family and friends and her Maltese named Bitty. On the weekends, she enjoys having coffee and shopping in the Bishop Arch District.
Erika, Receptionist
Erika was born in Monterrey Mexico and was raised in Dallas. She has been in the optical industry since 2003 as an optometric assistant and optician. She is bilingual and joined our practice in March 2011. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, especially to Destin, Florida and spending time with her husband and three wonderful children.
