Phyllis

Phyllis is originally from Lake Village, Arkansas and has been in the Dallas area since 1998. She is our Optical Manager and is both ABO Certified and NCLE Certified. She has over 30 years of optical experience.

She loves helping people pick out the perfect pair of glasses that will suit their needs and lifestyle. Phyllis invites you to come in and see our great selection of all the latest styles in designer eyewear.

Phyllis is active in her church, St. Catherine of Siena in Carrollton. She is a Mary Kay Consultant in her spare time and also loves the water, reading, dancing and most of all being with her kids and grandkids.

Jami, Optician

Jami is originally from Seattle, Washington and moved to Dallas in February 2007 to finish college and to be closer to friends. She has been in the optical industry since 2001 and has worked in a private practice setting and for an optical chain. She received her A.B.O.C. (Certified Optician) in May 2007. She enjoys being an optician because it allows her to work with people and help them choose unique eyeglasses specific to their needs.

She loves to shop, read and catch up on her favorite television shows.

Vance

Vance, a Certified Optician by the American Board of Opticianry, deals with the sales and service of ophthalmic eyewear and prescription services, frame adjustments and alignment, and data entry.

Vance’s career in the optical field began in 1976 at a wholesale optical lab in Dallas, where he specialized in bench work, final checkout and edging. His retail optical career began in 1980 when he supervised optical shops in three stores of a drugstore chain.

Vance is a retired professional musician and songwriter.

Hugo

A Dilettante? Nay! Versatility is a trademark of this Board Certified Optician; Edging, adjusting, repairing and selling quality eyewear is all in a days work for Hugo.

Hugo has a Bachelors in Radio, TV & Film and 20 years experience as an optician.

When not serving as Ben Stiller's Stunt Double, hugo enjoys being with his family and doing cartoon voiceover work.

Tasha

Tasha, Certified Paraoptometric, takes care of medical histories and present issues, photo imaging of the back of the eyes, dispensing contact lens, and scheduling your visits.

Tasha started with Las Colinas Vision Center in 1998 as a receptionist and is now a certified paraoptometric. Tasha continues to attend many continuing professional education courses.

Tasha enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include dance such as tap, jazz and ballet. She enjoys music, soccer, softball, traveling, drawing and interior design.

Marilyn

Marilyn is a Registered Certified Paraoptometric Technician. She works directly under our doctors, collecting patient data, and administering routine tests of your visual capabilities. Marilyn also serves as a LASIK coordinator for those interested in the procedure and schedules your surgeries and after care visits. She also handles technical tasks such as retinal photos, visual fields, topography and pachemetry. She prepares chart reports on patients with medical or visual concerns for submission to his or her physician.

Marilyn, who has worked with Las Colinas Vision Center since October 1985, has been in the optometry field for almost 20 years. She has been a certified paraoptometric assistant since 1993, and has maintained her optometric education by completing more than 200 hours of continuing education courses. Marilyn became a certified paraoptometric technician, the highest level of certification in 2005. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, Paraoptometric Section.

Marilyn spends her extra time reading, playing with her Sheltie, gardening and sewing.  Marilyn enjoys traveling with her daughter Kristi.  She also has a son who coaches high school football.  You can always find her in the stands with her daughter in law Laurel, as they root for their favorite team. 

Amy

Amy is a Contact Lens Technician who assists with patient walk-ins, scheduling appointments, ordering and maintaining diagnostic and salable contacts, processing Web site orders, and teaching you how to wear and care for your lenses.

Amy joined Las Colinas Vision in 1997, and stays educated with continuing education programs. She received a certification from the National Contact Lens Examiners in 2004.

Amy has three cats: Otis, Trixie and Buster. She loves to travel, and watch movies and reality television. Amy also enjoys spending time with her family, which includes four brothers.

Linda

Our Business Administrator Linda is responsible for handling all accounting and human resource data for Las Colinas Vision Center.

Linda has worked in the optical and medical (orthopedic) fields in the Houston & Dallas areas for 25 years. She started working at LCVC in April of 1992, and has worked in various areas of the practice, such as the front desk, contact lens dispensing, patient assisting, and ultimately managed the practice until 1996 when her first son was born. Linda took a year off work to be the ultimate "stay-at-home" mom. She rejoined the team at LCVC in December of 1997 on a part-time basis to assist in the financial aspect of the business.

Linda is married and has two sons, Matthew and Jonathan. She enjoys spending time with her large extended family and loves reading, cooking, scrapbooking and gardening. She currently serves on the PTA Board at her son's school.

Kristen

Kristen, Certified Paraoptometric and our office manager, started with LCVC in 1989 when she was one of three employees. She did not have any short or long-term plans at the time, but learned the different areas of the office. The great opportunities and benefits have kept Kristen with LCVC for the long haul. She enjoys the great work ethics, service and care the doctors and team provide.

Since that time, LCVC has grown to be one of the top optometric practices in the DFW area. LCVC’s growth is due to the team, who have a genuine interest and desire to give the highest level of service and care to patients.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom, and their dog, Annie (who wears the pants in the family!) Her weekends are filled with sharing and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoys snow skiing, traveling, photography, and golf.

Julia, Certified ParaOptometric Assistant

Julia has had 10 years of experience in the optical industry. She is responsible for verifying our patients' vision benefits and for making sure their insurance plans are up to date. She also manages our Smilereminder system which confirms our patient's appointments via text messaging and email. Her smiling face can be found at the front desk making sure that our patients' exams and purchases are billed properly.

When she's not hard at work, she loves to spend time with her husband Jason, her stepdaughter Alex, and her two baby girls, Joey and Kylie. Other than family time, she also enjoys traveling, movies, reality tv, and photography. She is also involved with the DFW Indonesian community.

Erin, Certified ParaOptometric
          Contact Lens Technician

Erin joined our practice in June of 2007 and has been in the optometic field since 2005.  Erin assists our patients in the contact lens department, maintains our contact lens inventory and places orders for our patients. Erin, is a Certified ParaOptometic and also assist the doctors by performing diagnostic test on our patients, and takes optical and medical history on our patients.

Erin is originally from Iowa City, Iowa, is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist.  Her hobbies include watching college football and basketball. (especially the Iowa Hawkeyes).  She enjoys going to professional sporting events and concerts.  She has an outgoing personality and enjoys meeting new people, traveling and spending time with family and friends.  She has been a great addition to our team.

Daniela

Daniela was born and raised in Dallas and attended Texas Lutheran University in Sequin, Texas where she studied child psychology. Daniela enjoys shopping, playing miniature golf and bowling. When she's not spending time with her family, she and her boyfriend, Jay are out on the town watching the latest movies or they're relaxing and watching any and every sporting event.

Daniela is interested in interior design and is addicted to Su Doku. She's very interested in traveling and hopes to one day see the world!
